Scenic Rafting - Ironbridge (WWRII) - Price from £50.00 The trip begins at the Museum of the Gorge, where there is opportunity to have a bit of fun splashing around or to just drift downstream if you prefer. It is then on to, and under the Iron bridge itself for an alternative view, where you will be let into a local secret.!! We continue through the wooded gorge and under the newest bridge, the Freebridge. The trip then takes you through the rapids at Jackfield, which have played host to many canoeing events and in the past have been a training ground for top international and Olympic canoeists. You will have a chance to stop and play in the rapids if you like a bit more of a thrill. After the excitement of the rapids it is on past Jackfield Tar Museum and next under the Memorial Bridge. We then pass the Tar Tunnel, the Hay Incline Plane and the famous Coalport China Works. The journey fianlly ends at The Woodbridge public house, the last pub in the Ironbridge Gorge.
Availability - Easter - September
Duration - The trip last between one to one and a half hours depending on river levels. Including the safety brief you will be with us approximately 2 hours. Please arrive at the meeting point (Museum of the Gorge car park) 20 minutes before the advertised start time.
Numbers - Maximum 6 people to a raft.
Restrictions - You can go rafting from 6 years upwards. No maximum age.Weight restriction of 18 stone.
Clothing Required - All the equipment is provided including Cags, Buoyancy aids, Helmets, and waterproof trousers, but you will need to provide a pair of trainers you can get wet, or a pair of wet-boots (available to purchase from Eddylines).
